The Preston Fashion Forum
Is a network of SME’s working in the fashion industry in Preston.
The forum has members ranging from fashion designers, jewellery designers,
trend predictors and textile designers as well as boutique owners. The
Forum informs, network’s, gathers information, holds events and
attends events offering those involved a strong sense of involvement in
Preston, business development and opportunity for growth.
The Fashion Forum recently held an extremely successful catwalk show, showcasing Preston and the North West’s best creative fashion talent. The show was at Forum Bar and was run in connection with The Closet, a boutique stocking local and national mens and womenswear. The show also featured the work of local designers in Preston including Hustla and Five Twenty.
The success has been recognised recently with a number of articles appearing
in the press. This includes ‘Your Quarter’ magazine who used
photographs taken by UCLAN fashion students.
By linking students, businesses and designers the Forum hopes to develop
a strong connection and presence for those working in the industry.

we{do} Adavanced Design Tools
The advanced design tools project has been set up through the WeDo team
to help Preston based companies of less than 250 employee’s source
information and assistance in adopting new methods of computer aided product
design and manufacture into their business.
Most recently the project held a short introduction to rapid prototype technology for small creative companies in Preston. The event led to three of the attendee’s, with the help of the WeDo team, sourcing the finance and knowledge necessary for them to use this new product development technique in their future product ranges.
The advanced design tools project can help your company find information
on the types of new and emerging technologies that will be applicable
to your specific area and will help put you in touch with the right agencies
that can assist financially with the adoption of new systems. There are
also future events planned through the project that will be free to eligible

The Preston Creative Sauce is a European funded project free to Preston companies with less than 250 employees. It aids enterprises in Preston by giving them the opportunity to link with undergraduate students at the University of Central Lancashire.
As a Preston company you can register your business with us and post projects on our website that you would like assistance with from students at the local university. The project you post could be the design of a flyer or website for your business, help with engineering a product design solution, market research, promotion or anything else your company wants assistance with.
Anything your company posts is seen only by university students and each project is managed by members of the WeDo team. You get to choose who your company partners with and how much time you spend with them.
